Meet Mayowa
With a natural eye for design, which has been honed over the years through professional work, hands-on experience, and traveling countries that have deep design histories and cultures, I delight in creating captivating cozy interiors and gorgeous gratifying gardens that make clients want to stay at home forever. After completing my undergraduate and graduate studies, I worked in public health and healthcare quality improvement, all while decorating interiors and developing gardens on the side as a creative outlet. Leaving Home Ain’t Easy Designs was born from my lifelong passion for interior design and gardens. I leverage my multifaceted unique skill set, including background in project management and visualization, to execute the design process in a streamlined manner, while adhering to client’s priorities, timelines, and budget.

Outdoor Spaces
For Mayowa, there is nothing more restorative than exploring the great outdoors, whether it be hiking in wildernesses, going on nature walks in local parks, or taking leisurely strolls through varied gardens. Her passion for the environment led her to complete a Master of Science in Environmental Planning and Management. Wanting to learn more about her local environment in which she was raised and lives, she later became certified as a Texas Master Naturalist and completed The Native Plant Society of Texas’s Native Landscape Certification Program. Mayowa believes that everyone should have access to beautiful practical outdoor spaces that benefit them as well as the local ecosystem. She uses her training and hands-on experience to help clients have their own sustainable outdoor oasis for their own homes.
